Beehive is a hybrid story-sandbox harem game based on my dystopian novel, Project Beehive, which I'm excited to share with you.

In a desperate effort to reverse plummeting global birth rates and prevent humanity from aging into extinction, an alliance of influential social scientists and an enigmatic multi-trillionaire have launched an audacious, secretive experiment: Project Beehive.
Shrouded in absolute secrecy on a remote island realm where the summer never ends, the project promises to reshape the foundations of human nature itself. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and omnipresent AI, the experiment is designed to ruthlessly dissect and engineer a future of super humans, with zero regard for ethics, privacy or human rights.
For you — a disillusioned, unemployed, and traumatized Afghanistan War veteran from a crumbling North Carolina town with little left to lose — this experiment presents an opportunity for escape. Alongside your only remaining friend, you end up as a test subject, lured by promises that sound far too good to be true.
Confined within this isolated, dystopian world alongside a hand-picked group of men and women, you will navigate its peculiar dynamics, uncover hidden agendas, and complete quests. To survive, you will need to rewrite the rules, build relationships, and forge alliances. But in The Beehive, survival is never guaranteed.

Interesting overall. I didn't get terribly far. I'll start with the pros. The ladies look great! Clearly a lot of passion went into this. I applaud the creator for putting this out there and despite what I say next, encourage them to continue the project!
Now for my own gripes and nitpicking.
They show the MCs face: I'm not a big fan when this happens. I don't do self inserts. But I prefer not to see the MCs face so I can decide what they look like. My idea of attractive looking and someone else's idea of attractive won't be the same. So once you add a face, it's hit or miss and it just didn't land for me.
The character is meant to be 26 year old veteran who has seen some shit. So naturally the stress will make them look older. That being said, the MC does NOT look 26. He looks late 30s or early 40s. So it looks like there's a big age gap between the MC and the girls.
the story: I wasnt a huge fan of the story. Admittedly I didn't get very far. No spoilers but it ended when you were talking with a mystery nurse/doctor and I died lol.
The way the MC gets involved just entirely sucked me out of the story. Like, you're expected to get real cool real fast after being forced into something. There's talk about you being special and it reads like a scam. At one point the MC is like "Wait, let him continue." Let him continue? Bro, we should be RUNNING. This dude sounds like he wants our kidneys lol. So I couldn't really put myself in the MCs shoes because it was too outlandish for me. That being said, there IS an option to decide not to get involved. So points for that. Maybe if the pace was slowed down a little? Make me more interested in the program over time instead of "you're in, obey or die."
If the author reads this, please don't get discouraged from this one loon. You have something here. Keep it going. But I think it wouldn't be fair if I wasn't at least a little honest with you for your considerations in future projects! My TLDR would be maybe leave the MCs face obscured. Let the reader decide what their character looks like. And review pacing. It was hard for me to imagine someone being abducted at gun point and willing to cooperate right away. If you don't agree with my thoughts. That's totally fine too. You gotta choose your own path and all! Best of luck to you!

Render textures can definitely make characters look older than intended, so I'll be fine-tuning his look and pacing for future updates. Thanks for giving Beehive a shot!

Currently English only. If there's enough interest, I'd love to look into Chinese localization or support community translations for v0.1 and future updates. If anyone wants to help with that, please DM me on Discord :)
